Charity Members and Our Invited Guests formed up to join our March Events lineup
Sirens of Silence Charity, Jake Edwards from Outside The Locker Room and the team at PEAK 1 Boxing Club offered some events with a difference.
We have had a massive start to ‘Marching Into Mental Health 2019’ with the very generous donations of many and merchandise sales raising in excess of $700 for Sirens of Silence Charity.
We have had a huge recruiting drive engaging new memberships from across our WA Emergency Services and we were able to offer a Mental Health Information Session at Gosnells Emergency Operations Centre which saw former AFL Player Jake Edwards now Founder/CEO of Outside The Locker Room provide strategies and take away messages for our attending members to check in with themselves, each other and the importance of managing your own mental health. We have been fostering some new charity relationships with Ride Alongside and Blue Guardians so watch this space for future charity activities and events. We have also been kicking goals and raising awareness with Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA B Shift from Belmont Fire Station with attendance at the Tackling Suicide Game - Lathlain Park and we joined the fight alongside Coaches Mick & Claire Hale from PEAK 1 Boxing Club with Guest Coach Jake Edwards challenging body and mind in the Sirens of Silence Charity BattleBags supported by our good friends from Shape Up at Barbertown, Kombi Brew and Australian Institute of Fitness - Perth
