Ride Alongside 2021Monday 10 May to Friday 14 May, 2021
Sirens of Silence Charity with charity partner Ride Alongside are excited to be involved in the 2021 Ride Alongside cycling awareness event,
a five-day, 580km bike ride taking place in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt and South West regions: York, Quairading, Bruce Rock, Narembeen, Hyden, Kondinin, Kulin, Wickepin, Narrogin, Williams & Collie Cycling across regional WA to help promote awareness of PTSD experienced by emergency services personnel, good physical health and good mental health.
Ride Alongside is a 580-kilometre bike ride from York to Hyden to Collie to raise the awareness of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression and other mental health conditions experienced by Emergency Services personnel sustained in the line of duty. The goal of Ride Alongside is to bring people together, foster a culture of mental health awareness within Emergency Services personnel and the wider community and demonstrate the benefits of good mental health. Ride Alongside will also shine a spotlight on the benefits of starting conversations about our mental health with those around us and the essential need for resources and support services for partners and families of those serving on the frontline. The riders will be riding to raise funds for Sirens of Silence Charity |
